The University of Tennessee has been playing college football since 1891 and from the outset began to establish a legacy of success. While their fortunes have taken a turn for the worst in the past few years, things look to be heading in the right direction under head coach Butch Jones. Then again, the Tennessee Volunteers football program has set the bar for success very high. The Vols have won 13 conference championships and six national titles. The fan support that the Tennessee football team receives is legendary. Their home field–Neyland Stadium–is on the banks of the Tennessee River with a capacity of over 105,000 fans.

Use Sling TV to Watch Tennessee Football Online

Sling TV is a service, launched earlier this year by Dish Network, that allows users to live stream popular cable channels through an internet connection, starting at just $20 per month with no contract (review of Sling TV).

In the over 20 channels, there  are also some of the ESPN channels like ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN3 (via the WatchESPN app with your Sling credentials, you can also access ABC games through this app). These channels will certainly be broadcasting a large amount of SEC and Tennessee football games during the season.

Beyond its basic Orange package, Sling provides add-on packages, including a Sports Extra Package for just $5 per month. With the package, you gain access to the SEC Network, ESPNU, and ESPNEWS.

All of these channels will not only have live broadcasts of Tennessee games, but will have tons of highlights and analysis. With the package, you also gain access to SEC Network+, the SEC’s digital platform, via the WatchESPN app. The platform will broadcast live streams of SEC games and include tons of additional coverage. It’s a great way to watch SEC football online.

If you are unsure about Sling right now, you can try it out free for 7 days.

Plan on watching Tennessee football online all season? You can take them up on their limited-time offer of a free Roku 2 or a discounted Apple TV. It’s a great deal, since either of the streaming players for your TV will be paid for by the end of the three months. PlayStation Vue Offers Another Option to Watch Tennessee Football Online

PlayStation Vue is another service you can use to stream Tennessee football online. Vue is quite similar to Sling TV in several ways, offering channels streaming directly to your devices.

It should be pointed out, though, that Vue is more demanding on the wallet than Sling TV ($29.99-$39.99.month to start, based on your market) and restricts the majority of mobile streaming away from your home network.

Watch CBS’s SEC Game of The Week On Live Stream or Over-The-Air

This season, CBS will have first priority on which SEC games it will be broadcasting. Each week it will select a matchup and broadcast it as the SEC Game of The Week, and some Saturdays will be broadcasting doubleheaders.

CBS games will be aired on its over-the-air network channel, which can be picked up with an antenna. This means you can access the games on your TV without a cable subscription if you have an antenna at home.

If you do not already have an antenna, this guide will help you choose the best one. The Volunteers will likely be selected for some of CBS’s preferred games, and the antenna is a great way to easily watch Tennessee football on your TV without cable.

Want to record the games? A good OTA (over-the-air) DVR will let give you full DVR capabilities, like recording and pausing live TV, for all the TV you get with your antenna.

My favorite, the Tablo, lets you stream live TV and your recordings to your phone, tablet, streaming player, and other devices wherever you go. It’s another way you can easily watch Tennessee football online.

CBS has recently made an announcement that simultaneous to its broadcasts it will be live streaming each SEC Game during the year.

The stream can be found on CBS Sports’ website and is free for anyone to view, without any forms of authentication required.

This is a great move on CBS’s part, because now you’ll be able to watch any SEC or Tennesee games online for no cost.

The quality of the stream is also top notch, since CBS will be including all 22 camera angles they display on its TV broadcast. It does not matter which option you choose CBS offers a perfect opportunity to watch select SEC games online the entire season.
